A Boston-based advisory team formerly employed by First Republic has joined Citizens Financial Group.

The team is led by Brian Nagle, who joins Citizens’ private wealth unit as a managing director. He is joined by client associate Zachary Noke, assistant vice president and investment specialist Grayham Lohrey and vice president and relationship manager Emily Fluke. The team previously managed nearly $1bn in client assets, Citizens said.

For about a decade until 2023, Nagle was a wealth manager at First Republic, the San Francisco lender that was taken into receivership by the federal government last year during the regional banking crisis. JP Morgan Chase eventually purchased First Republic in a government-brokered deal.
